Prof. Behnam Mohammadi-ivatloo

LUT University, Finland

Behnam Mohammadi-Ivatloo, PhD, is a Professor of sector coupling in energy systems at LUT University, Lappeenranta, Finland. He has a mix of high-level experience in research, teaching, administration and voluntary jobs at the national and international levels.  He was PI or CO-PI in more than 20 externally funded research projects. He has been a Senior Member of IEEE since 2017 and a Member of the Governing Board of the Iran Energy Association since 2013, where he was elected President in 2019. His main areas of interest are integrated energy systems, sector coupling, renewable energies, energy storage systems, microgrids, and smart grids.

Prof. Hongwei Wu

University of Hertfordshire, UK

Professor Hongwei Wu (FIMechE, FRAeS, FEI) is a full Professor of Thermofluids & Head of the Energy and Sustainable Manufacturing (ENSM) Research Group in the School of Physics, Engineering and Computer Science (SPECS), and Leader of the Research Group in Monitoring Climate and its Impact (MCI) at the University of Hertfordshire, UK. Professor Wu is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and a Fellow of esteemed organisations such as the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (FIMechE), the Royal Aeronautical Society (FRAeS), the Energy Institute (FEI), and the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). He is a Royal Academy of Engineering Academic Champion, a visiting professor at East Kazakhstan State Technical University, and a member of the UK Turbulence Consortium. He received his BEng, PhD (Joint PhD Programme with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology - HKUST) in Thermofluids all from Beihang University. He has an academic and research profile previously developed at Northumbria University, University of the West of Scotland, Birmingham University and Brunel University London in UK, as well as at the University of British Columbia & University of Alberta in Canada.

Researcher Dianlei Feng

Tongji University

Dianlei Feng is a researcher and PhD supervisor in the School of Civil Engineering, Tongji University. He graduated from Tongji University, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Leibniz University of Hannover, Germany, and completed his postdoctoral research there, and then served as a researcher and PI. He has long been engaged in the research on the mechanics of porous media, numerical simulation of the coupling of flow and solid and engineering protection technology, and has presided over over more than 10 scientific research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Special Project for Shanghai's High-level Talents, the Open Fund of the State Key Laboratory of Geological Hazard Prevention and Control and other scientific research projects. He is in charge of more than 10 scientific research projects, including research projects covering microbial mineralization and seepage mechanism, aircraft impact damage simulation, sea defense site protection technology and other cutting-edge areas, and has been supported by the German Natural Science Foundation (DFG) to complete the research on biofilm multiscale modeling. He is currently serving as an editorial board member of five Chinese and English journals, including Journal of Computational Mechanics and Protective Engineering, and a member of six academic organizations, including the International Society for Disaster Prevention and Mitigation and the Chinese Society of Mechanics. His scientific research achievements have been honored with the 21st International Conference on Gridless Boundary Element Outstanding Youth Thesis Award, the First Prize of Scientific and Technological Thesis of Shanghai Water Conservancy Industry, the First Prize of Teaching Achievements of Higher Education Schools in Water Conservancy, and the honors of National Outstanding Undergraduate Graduation Thesis in Mechanics and Outstanding Graduation Design of Tongji University for a number of students trained by him.
